Digital radiography uses an electronic sensor instead of traditional X-ray film to capture X-ray images; reducing patient radiation exposure by up to 90%. These large-format digital images are viewed on a computer screen and the bigger, clearer images make it easy for patients to see their X-ray in order to explain a diagnosis and illustrate the discussion about treatment.
